Lucy Griggs is a producer, director, and video editor with more than 25 years of experience in the Tampa Bay market. She graduated cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Agnes Scott College with a BA in English Literature.
As Program Director for the Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network, Lucy was responsible for all on air programming, including producing hundreds of series and single programs and scripting all original promotional spots. Her industry awards include a bronze and a gold Telly, the International Reading Association’s Broadcast Media Award for Children’s Television, and the Cine Golden Eagle.
Lucy served as Festival Director of Tampa Bay’s Independents Film Festival for almost 20 years, and is co-founder of Jenny & Lucy’s Art House Productions, a Tampa nonprofit committed to creating and curating artwork outside the commercial mainstream.
Lucy has always been fascinated by the powerful draw of the moving image. Her work in educational television cemented her dedication to using the medium to create compelling video stories. She is currently enjoying creating short profiles of artists in the Tampa area and hopes others find joy and inspiration in these small tributes.
